A voice for patient empowerment and simplifying medications for seniors, Dr. Savard is the author of four books including How To Save Your Own Life, The Savard System for Managing – and Controlling – Your Health Care, The Savard Health Record, The Body Shape Solution to Weight Loss and Wellness and Ask Dr. Marie: What Women Must Know about Hormones, Libido, and the Medical Problems No One Talks About.
In addition to an internal medicine practice, Dr. Savard served as ABC News Medical Contributor appearing in all the major media including NBC, CBS, CNN, The Oprah Show and The View.
Dr. Savard earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Medical Degree at the University of Pennsylvania where she served on the Board of Overseers of the School of Nursing and as two term University Trustee.
Dr. Savard is now a speaker, writer and blogger at AskDrMarie. Her work helping seniors simplify medications and treat what matters was inspired by her parents, her practice and her role as corporate medical director of a PACE program and seven nursing homes in Philadelphia.
She is married to Bradley Fenton, MD and together they have three sons, two daughter-in-laws and seven grandchildren.
